A little bit about why this matters to me as a parent.
Funding cuts for programs, social and environmental, have been effecting many, and now they are effecting For Our Kids.
In 2019, as the reality of the climate crisis became impossible to ignore, I felt overwhelmed. But as a parent, I didn't want to just worry, I wanted to do something.
That's when I discovered For Our Kids. They empowered and supported a parent group in Victoria to start Parents 4 Climate, as a way to take meaningful action. Instead of feeling helpless, I became part of a community of parents working together to make a difference.
Since 2019, For Our Kids has helped local parents and caregivers, as well as thousands more across Canada, take action and make positive changes to their communities in the fight against climate change.
Now they need our help. Funding cuts threaten their ability to continue this important work. By supporting For Our Kids, we're helping ensure they can keep empowering parents to stand up for a safer, healthier, greener future for all our kids.
