Parents4climate and Vicwest Coolkit are offering another Free Native Tree Give-a-way in March!
If you live in the City of Victoria and have a space for a small, or larger tree, (see possible choices below) let us know by:
Possible Tree choices:
1. Crataegus gaylussacia (Suksdorf's Hawthorn)- very small native tree, full sun to part shade
2. Quercus garryana (Garry Oak)- larger native tree, slow growing, can plant close to infrastructure.
3. Philadelphus lewisii (Mock Orange)- smaller tree, full sun to part shade
4. Rosa nutkana (Nootka Rose)- smaller tree, full sun to part shade
5. Rubus spectabilis (Salmonberry) - smaller tree, good in shade
6. Symphoricarpos albus (Common Snowberry)- smaller tree, good in shade
7. Ribes sanguineum (red flowering currant) - smaller tree, part shade to full sun

- replying with your name and address, including postal code, to [email protected] before March 25th
- We will then send you a request for the type of tree which works for you. This will need to be filled out on or before March 30th.
- Plant to pick up your tree the morning of April 11th at the Vic West Community Centre.
